More patterns and colour! A break from monochromatic
I have been working on a few detailed projects such as the natural
history illustration course as mentioned in the post this past weekend.
Most of these projects have been monochromatic and I find myself longing
for colour and abstraction which is why I decided to delve back into a
project that was on hold for a bit while I finished something else. The
projects are swirling in the air but one by one they drop back into the
juggler's hand. This one is in my hand today so I thought I would take
the opportunity to share it with you.
The lovely handmade paper I am using has a wonderful, smooth surface to work on.
This project is for a lovely lady with a large diningroom wall. I am honoured to be able to create something unique for her. This piece will be based on a project I completed just before the lockdown. With a twist to fit the new owner, of course.
Here is the selection of small elements I have completed today. Looking forward to the next group of images.
Do you see the piece that inspired this project hanging behind me on the shelf? Have a closer look in the post I wrote when I created it:Pattern and colour
I am still near the beginning of this project but am looking forward to spending more time with it. Modern art is fun because it allows more freedom and experimentation.
