Library urban sketching Meet up

Something about winter seems to scare people off when it comes to urban sketching. I can understand. We always sketch inside but somehow when it is cold and dark staying at home seems like the better option. Anyway we went out last week, braving said cold and dark, and 'sneakily' sketched at a local branch of our city library. All together we were four people. One of whom came a little bit later on.

I tried out an easy method of drawing the books- every book is a stripe, they only took shape once I started using my fineliner.

After a resonable amount of silence we moved next door to the cafe to talk and drink a coffee while we continued to draw. This turned out to be rather fun and I chose a fun red head with antlers for a theme this time.

The next day my sister and I did a little sketching in the Kunsthaus Cafe in the evening. I still want to add a bit of outlining to this as we didn't have a lot of time.

Next Saturday will be our next urban sketching meetup. If you are in Graz and would like to join us let me know.
